The architecture design for Sukabumi’s Cikembar domestic airport has taken this concept with the aim to take it to the next level in response of Sukabumi’s relatively modest cityscape. The internal spaces within its main functions for the Cikembar airport are also transformed in a linear orientation to strengthen the accommodations of an airport where the flows of fresh air can be felt and recognized. The extreme tapering on the roof signifies the core functions of each buildings, distincting the welcoming atmosphere of both arrival and departure platforms. This distinction creates a focus that helps the overall airport to have more depth and spatial experiences where flow and movement can take the subjects in between fulfilling social dimensions.
