Silaban Museum – IAI Competition

Friederich Silaban was widely known as Indonesia’s most beloved architect who helped sculpted the identity of Indonesia through architecture, mostly alongside President Sukarno during his lifetime. The works, ideas, and presence that Silaban embodied has somewhat created a layer of mythos surrounding the idea of his figure.

In Northern Sumatera, home of the renowned architect is where this conceptual design was crafted, to celebrate the genius of his methodology that has set the bar as to what it means to be an Indonesian architect since the Republic’s early days.
