Existing in a narrow site, the conception of Pondok Indah House utilizes its limitations through its use of vertical accesses, maximizing its overall functional spaces into something extraordinary its occupants to use as their living haven in the middle of South Jakarta. Designed and developed for a family of four the Pondok Indah House laid out its purpose as the hub for privacy, tranquility, and progression. Orienting the masses in a linear manner, the settlement reinvigorates its spaces into a dynamic range of compact circulations within the house.
Setting the establishment’s spatial zoning into three hierarchical compositions, the house offers multiple advantages as each levels of the house gets optimized within the narrow site of Pondok Indah streets where local houses in general haven’t realized the potential that architecture could bring. With the masses settled in its composition, the house is then able to comprehend its twisting circulations with a touch of contemporary touches throughout.
With the maximization of the house’s inner court and vertical accesses, the results indeed speak for itself. As the functional spaces cascade from one elevation on the other, Pondok Indah house sets the bar even higher for a living space that holds true to its compact ideals while maintaining the soul of luxury and modernism in a dense tropical environment of Jakarta.
